Optimizing Sea Freight Imports with FCL Efficiency and Cross-Docking Precision
At Gardasena Logistama, we excel in managing sea freight import process, one of the process that we recently working on is the Full Container Load (FCL) sea freight import process. This process involves moving large quantities of goods efficiently across international borders.
Our approach starts with selecting a reliable supplier and finalizing a purchase agreement, including payment terms, Incoterms (International Commercial Terms), and shipment details. These Incoterms define the responsibilities related to transportation, insurance, and import duties.
Recently, we successfully managed a shipment from China to Indonesia, utilizing a full container load of 2x40ft high cube containers to accommodate the cargo volume. Upon arrival in Indonesia, we employed a cutting-edge logistics technique known as cross-docking.
Cross-docking is a transformative strategy designed to expedite the supply chain. Goods are transferred directly from incoming to outgoing transportation, bypassing traditional warehousing. This approach minimizes storage time, slashes handling costs, and accelerates delivery to your location. Think of it like a relay race: products arrive at a central hub and are quickly dispatched to their next destination, ensuring speed and efficiency.
Once the container reaches the destination port, it is offloaded and placed in the port’s yard. Our team then facilitates import customs clearance, handling all necessary documentation and duty payments. Following customs clearance, the container is unloaded, and the empty container is returned. We meticulously inspect the goods to ensure they meet your specifications and address any issues as per the agreed Incoterms.
At Gardasena Logistama, we’re committed to delivering timely, cost-effective solutions that keep your business moving forward.
Thank you for visiting, and we look forward to helping you achieve new milestones in your logistics operations!
